About Christina Tester

Christina Tester is passionate about creative self-expression and its relationship to healing and personal meaning making. From early childhood into adult life, Christina has maintained a strong and intuitive partnership with creativity. Engaging in and studying different art modalities such as music making, poetry, movment and film making to express feelings and make sense of her life.


Christina has a Bachelor in Fine Arts, Honours in Sound Art and a Masters in Creative Art Therapy which she received in 2020 from the MIECAT Institute. Christina worked at Headspace, Sunshine assisting young people with varying mental health issues. Christina has also run art therapy groups for young people. Christina has worked with people from a diverse range of situations, age and life experience, including members of the LGBTIQA+, offering them a safe and non-judgmental space to express and explore their experiences.


As a Therapeutic Arts practitioner, Christina holds a warm and inviting space for someone to explore, reflect and come to know their unique gifts and challenges. With her experience and knowledge she will assist you in finding and cultivating what matters most in your life, including changes you may want to make in order to live a life that feels meaningful to you.

Christina currently works as an Art Therapist at the Royal Children's Hospital. There, she assists families and young people manage and process the difficult emotions and experiences that come with having cancer. She is a registered art therapist with ANZACATA and is set up to work with Plan managed NDIS clients.
